Founder's note
Why we are building LawKPIs.
LawKPIs is built by Sachin H. Bakhai, Founder & CEO, and Rishikesh Sardeshmukh, Co-founder & COO. Sachin started LawKPIs in 2020 from Dallas, Texas, after years of watching firm owners sit on more data than they could ever read. Rishikesh has co-led EZlytix, an analytics business, since 2015 from Pune, India, and holds an MBA in Systems and Operations Research.
The reason is simple. Firms of every size already pay for practice management, intake and accounting systems, and every one of those systems keeps its own version of the truth. Getting a straight answer to "are we actually making money on this work?" takes days of spreadsheet work that most firms never get around to. We wanted the answer to arrive on its own, in plain English, every morning.
What makes this team credible on law firm financial data is narrow and specific: we have spent years building reporting on top of Clio, MyCase, Smokeball, Lawmatics and QuickBooks Online for small and mid-size firms. We know where realization leaks, how trust balances drift, and why a healthy-looking revenue number can hide an unprofitable practice area. LawKPIs and NyxO are that experience turned into a product.
